Tips

  • Lean same colours toward each other.
  • A thin stream across the middle counts as a connection.
The twist

Clear by connecting one colour from the left wall to the right — through any shape the sand has taken.

Blocks fall like in the classic, but on landing they dissolve into grains that flow into every gap. Lines do not matter; colour does.

Common questions

What makes Sand Blocks different from other falling-block games?

Blocks do not stay solid. On landing they crumble into grains that flow into every gap, so the pile behaves like sand rather than a tidy stack of bricks.

How do I clear sand?

Rows do not matter, colour does. When one colour of sand forms an unbroken trail touching both the left and the right wall, that whole colour drains away and scores.

Does a thin trail of sand still count?

Yes. The connection only has to be continuous, not thick. A single-grain stream running wall to wall clears the colour just as well as a broad band.

When does the game end?

When the sand piles up to the top of the well and a new block cannot enter. Keeping the pile low matters more than clearing quickly.
